Man Utd sacked Ruben Amorim due to 'zero progress', insiders say

Manchester United insiders have moved to clarify the reasoning behind Ruben Amorim’s dismissal, stressing that the decision was not driven by power struggles, Tribuna.com reports.

Sources insist Amorim was fully aligned with the club’s summer strategy, which prioritized signing three forwards - Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko - all viewed as versatile enough to suit multiple systems.

United believe the squad remains capable of securing European qualification this season, with a top-six finish set as the minimum target.

However, despite around £250m spent under Amorim, placing the club among the Premier League’s biggest spenders, the hierarchy felt there were insufficient signs of tactical evolution or sustained progress.

Insiders emphasize that while the head coach plays a key role, success at Old Trafford depends on collaboration rather than individual authority, prompting the club to make a change to maximize their chances this season.
