Icy conditions disrupt travel in Armenia

Several roads across Armenia are affected by icy conditions, with some routes closed or difficult to pass, officials say.

In Aragatsotn Province, the road from the Amberd High Mountain Meteorological Station to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari is closed. Icy patches are reported on roads in a number of regions, including Aparan, Vanadzor, Sevan, Goris and Sisian.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to trucks and remains difficult for other vehicles to pass.

Authorities say the Stepantsminda–Lars highway is open to all types of vehicles.
