Armenia's SRC fines major companies over cash register violations

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) has fined 13 large taxpayers a total of 60.8 million drams for violations related to the use of cash registers, the agency told Panorama.am on Wednesday.

The largest fine was imposed on fuel importer and distributor Arm Petrol, which was penalised 20 million drams for failing to issue fiscal receipts.

The supermarket chain Nor Zovq received the second-largest fine, amounting to 10 million drams.

Other companies fined for similar violations include fast-food chain Black Angus (6.7 million drams), Franchising Food (6.1 million), consumer goods importer BrandLeader (6 million), PrimeFood (3.5 million), Gntuniq (2.8 million), Eva & Suzy (2 million), Nar-Av (1 million), Khas-Khaz (968,000), Ocean Fish (694,000), Aras Food (551,000) and Lid Mech (221,000).

The SRC said the fines were issued as part of ongoing inspections aimed at enforcing compliance with fiscal receipt regulations.
