Snow cover in Armenian highlands significantly higher than last year

As of 21 January, snow cover in the mountainous regions of Armenia is 60–80 cm higher than on the same day in 2025, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the Environment Ministry reported.

The increased snow levels are expected to have a positive impact on the spring water inflow to the country’s reservoirs, supporting water resources for agriculture, energy and domestic use.
