Several vehicles collide on Gyumri-Yerevan highway due to black ice

A series of collisions involving dozens of vehicles occurred on the Gyumri–Yerevan highway on Tuesday, authorities and local sources report.

The accidents took place near the intersection of Kakavadzor village, where the road has reportedly been rendered impassable by black ice. The highway is currently closed as emergency services respond to the incident.

David Manukyan, a member of the Country to Live party, shared the news on Facebook, posting a video that shows multiple vehicles involved in the crashes.
