Serzh Sargsyan pays tribute to fallen soldiers on Army Day

Third Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan paid tribute to fallen soldiers on Army Day celebrated on January 28.

"A wreath was laid on his behalf at the Yerablur Military Pantheon and tribute was paid to the eternal memory of those who had made an invaluable contribution to the creation of the army, to the heroes who defended the homeland with valor and self-sacrifice," his office said in a statement.

"Eternal glory and honor to all the devotees who stood at the origins of the Armenian army and those who created the army’s glorious chronicle. Eternal glory and gratitude to all heroes who gave their lives for freedom and independence of our Fatherland!" Sargsyan was quoted as saying.
