Health authorities in Armenia say cases of acute respiratory infections remain significantly lower than this time last year, with incidence rates halved compared to 2025.
According to the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, children account for the overwhelming majority of infections, with nearly 81% of cases recorded among those aged 0 to 18. The highest rates continue to be observed in the youngest age group, particularly children aged 0 to 4.
Officials report that several respiratory viruses are currently circulating across the country. They include respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), rhinovirus, metapneumovirus and parainfluenza.
