Petition launched in support of Armenian Apostolic Church

A group of faithful people have launched a signature campaign in support of the Armenian Apostolic Church, citing concerns over attempts to undermine its unity.

The petition calls on Armenians in Armenia and across the diaspora to rally around the church and its spiritual leader, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

In a public statement accompanying the petition, the organisers expressed concern over actions by Armenia’s leadership aimed at manipulating and dividing the Armenian Apostolic Church.

They urge supporters to stand in defense of the church, to safeguard the rights of believers in Armenia and to uphold democratic principles. The appeal also calls for unity around the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the spiritual and administrative centre of the church.
