Tigran Barseghyan quits Armenian national team

Armenia forward Tigran Barseghyan has announced his retirement from international football.

In a statement released by the Football Federation of Armenia, Barseghyan said it had been a “great honour and responsibility” to wear the national team shirt and represent his country. He expressed gratitude to his coaches, teammates, medical staff, federation employees and fans, who he praised for their loyalty “in both victories and defeats”.

Barseghyan confirmed he will continue supporting the team as a fan, wishing Armenia “victories and great achievements” in the future.
