Minor earthquake hits Armenia

A minor earthquake struck near the town of Masis early on Tuesday morning.

The tremor, measuring magnitude 2.2, occurred about 10 kilometers southeast of Masis at a depth of 10 kilometers. It was recorded at 05:33 on February 24, according to the Seismic Protection Agency of the Interior Ministry.

Residents in Masis, as well as in the nearby villages of Mkhchyan and Dvin, felt the quake with an intensity of 2–3 on the MSK scale.
