New cyclone to bring heavy snow to Armenia

An active cyclone will make landfall in Armenia late on Thursday, bringing snow, sleet and blizzards to the country.

The wet weather will persist on Friday and Saturday, with heavy snow expected in some parts of Armenia.

Strong winds of 18-23 m/s are forecast for Thursday.

Temperatures are set to drop by 8-12C later this week.

Drivers have been warned of icy road conditions overnight Saturday.
