Samvel Karapetyan supported farmers after hailstorm in Lori

Farmers in Armenia’s Lori Province lost their livelihoods in minutes when a sudden hailstorm devastated crops in the villages of Agarak, Lejan and Amrakits. Archival footage shows residents recounting how the storm stripped fields bare, leaving families without harvest or income.

The response was immediate. Businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, together with his brother Karen, commissioned a professional team to assess the damage. Once the losses were calculated, the Karapetyan brothers fully compensated farmers.
