Strong winds damage roofs in Armenia

Strong winds caused damage in parts of Armenia on Friday, prompting multiple emergency calls.

The Interior Ministry reported that from 3:16 p.m. local time, its emergency center received alerts about damage in Gegharkunik and Aragatsotn Provinces.

In Vardenis, the roofs of two unused industrial buildings were torn off, affecting around 300 square meters. Seven houses, three barns and one solar power installation were damaged in the village of Norashen.

Rescue teams dismantled loose structures in Norashen to prevent further danger.
