MP Martun Grigoryan to run in parliamentary elections with Prosperous Armenia Party

Opposition MP Martun Grigoryan will run in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia under the Prosperous Armenia Party’s “Proposal to Armenia” platform, led by businessman Gagik Tsarukyan.

Grigoryan, who represents the Pativ Unem faction, made the announcement in a Facebook post on Thursday as political forces begin positioning themselves ahead of the vote.

He pointed to his participation in the 2025 municipal elections in Gyumri, saying his campaign aimed to prevent the ruling Civil Contract party from taking power in the city. He described the outcome as proof that elections can still bring change.

Grigoryan said he and Tsarukyan have collaborated for years on initiatives focused on improving living standards in Shirak Province and Gyumri. He promised to provide further details of the party’s platform, particularly proposals affecting the region, in the coming days.
