Armenian Embassy assists citizens in India amid flight disruptions

The Armenian Embassy in New Delhi has been working in emergency mode to help nationals stranded in India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives after flight cancellations linked to Middle East tensions, the Foreign Ministry reported on Friday.

A group of 104 Armenians, including startup summit participants and tourists, flew from Goa to Yerevan late on March 5, landing safely at Zvartnots Airport. Twelve citizens in Sri Lanka, six in Goa and two in the Maldives remain in contact with the embassy, which is advising them on available travel options.

The embassy continues daily communication with citizens and is coordinating with the Indian authorities to secure flight permissions. A hotline is available at +32 493 88 00 88 (WhatsApp).
