Citizens of 41 countries transported from Iran via Armenia

Citizens of 41 countries were transported from Iran through Armenia between February 28 and March 6, the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday.

The ministry said those transported included citizens of neighbouring countries Georgia, Turkey and Iran.

Others were from countries in the Americas, including the United States, Mexico and Uruguay.

European nationals included citizens of Austria, Germany, Italy, Latvia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Portugal, Ukraine and France.

The group also included people from the Eurasian and Asia-Pacific regions, including Australia, Belarus, Turkmenistan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal, New Zealand, China, Tajikistan, Russia, Uzbekistan and the Philippines.

Citizens of several Middle Eastern and African countries were also transported, including Guinea, Yemen, Zimbabwe, Iraq, Lebanon, South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Syria.

The ministry added that among those transported from the United Arab Emirates were also citizens of other countries who chose to return to their home countries via transit flights through Armenia.
