Shrapnel falls near Dubai Airport, disrupts flights to Yerevan

Some debris fell near Dubai International Airport after a missile was intercepted on Saturday, causing flight disruptions and leading to the cancellation and delay of several flights to Armenia.

Even as airlines slowly resumed operations to the Middle East, some planes were seen hovering over the Dubai airport for a while and some flight delays were seen.

According to updates shared by Zvartnots International Airport, one scheduled flight on the Dubai-Yerevan route was cancelled, while another was delayed.

Flights from other regional cities to Yerevan were also affected. Services from Abu Dhabi, Doha and Sharjah to the Armenian capital were cancelled as a result of the disruption.
