Masked law enforcement officers conduct searches at Armavir prison

Masked law enforcement officers carried out searches at a prison in Armenia’s Armavir Province late on Monday, according to local media reports.

Armlur.am reported that officers entered the second wing of the Armavir Penitentiary and conducted searches at several prison cells at around 9:00 p.m.

The report said the operation was carried out by masked officers of the Criminal Executive Service, which oversees Armenia’s prison system.
