Campaign in Yerevan calls for Samvel Karapetyan's release

Posters calling for the release of businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan appeared across Yerevan on Friday.

A Yerevan court is set to hear a motion for the extension of Samvel Karapetyan’s house arrest today.

Earlier on Thursday, his supporters announced plans to gather outside the court building ahead of the hearing.

Karapetyan has been nominated as the prime ministerial candidate of the Strong Armenia party.
