Heavy snow, blizzards expected in Armenia

A Mediterranean cyclone will bring widespread precipitation to Armenia on 15-16 March, the weather service reports. Mountainous regions are set for heavy snow and blizzards, while lower areas will see rain or sleet.

Authorities warn of poor visibility, icy roads and travel disruption, particularly in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, Syunik and Gegharkunik Provinces.
