Armenian church awaits official notice on participation in Ilia II's funeral

The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has not yet received official notification regarding the funeral arrangements for His Holiness Ilia II, Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia.

In a statement released on Thursday, the press service of the Armenian Apostolic Church said that once formal details are communicated, the format of the Armenian church’s participation in the funeral ceremonies will be determined in accordance with the protocol established by the Georgian Orthodox Church.

No further details have been announced at this stage.
