Khachanov advances to Miami Open third round

 

The 29-year-old Russian-Armenian sealed a 6-3, 6-3 win in just one hour and 14 minutes. Khachanov struck six aces and converted three of his six break points, while Bautista Agut managed two aces but struggled to match his opponent’s power and consistency from the baseline.

 

Khachanov, currently ranked among the world’s top 20, will next face Spain’s Martin Landaluce, the world No.151.
