Armenian prosecutors have decided not to pursue criminal charges against Armine Ohanyan, the editor-in-chief of Hraparak daily, following months of controversy surrounding an investigation into one of her articles.
The case was initially launched on 10 January 2025 under Article 330 of Armenia’s Criminal Code, which deals with public calls for violence. However, on 23 March 2026, the Prosecutor General’s Office ruled that no public criminal prosecution would be initiated against Ohanyan.
The investigation had drawn widespread criticism from journalists, civil society groups and politicians.
