A dispute has broken out in Armenia after a woman publicly thanked Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, claiming to be the aunt of a former prisoner of war.
The woman recently approached Pashinyan on the street, introducing herself as the aunt of Gevorg Sujyan, who was previously held in captivity in Azerbaijan. She expressed gratitude for his release and raised concerns about housing problems.
But Sujyan later denied any connection to her. Writing on social media on Monday, he said he did not recognise the woman and urged people not to attempt to resolve issues in his name.
