Armenian political analyst Suren Surenyants has warned that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is becoming increasingly mired in a political crisis.
Writing on social media on Wednesday, he said opposition leaders have so far resisted engaging with what he called Pashinyan’s “provocations”. According to Surenyants, this refusal has prompted the prime minister to adopt a harsher tone.
“The more opposition favourites avoid being drawn into Pashinyan’s provocations, the more vulgar his language becomes,” Surenyants wrote. He stated that Pashinyan “is sinking into a political quagmire” that will be hard to leave behind.
