An Armenian court has ruled that the rights of Archbishop Haigazun Najarian were violated, ordering the removal of restrictions that prevented him from leaving the country, his lawyer announced on Wednesday.
Attorney Harut Aklunts said judge Arman Hovhannisyan upheld his complaint against the actions of investigators and prosecutors, recognizing the infringement of the senior cleric’s rights. The court told investigators to lift the travel ban imposed on the archbishop.
“Congratulations to everyone on yet another victory of law against arbitrariness!" the lawyer wrote.
