Two bodies recovered from Yerevan reservoir, authorities say

Two people have been found dead after an incident at a reservoir in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan, emergency services said.

According to the Interior Ministry, an alert was received at 5:49 a.m. local time on 4 April reporting that one person had fallen into a reservoir. A second individual entered the water in an attempt to help him.

Rescue teams, including firefighters, divers and police officers, were dispatched to the scene. A diver later recovered the bodies of both individuals from the water.
