Former Armenian state property chief arrested

Arman Sahakyan, the former head of the State Property Management Department, has been arrested as part of a criminal investigation, the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the committee said several individuals had been arrested on suspicion of committing crimes under multiple articles of Armenia’s Criminal Code. The detainees also include other former senior officials.

No further details on the allegations were immediately available.
