Stepantsminda-Larsi highway closed to traffic

Armenia’s Rescue Service reports that most domestic roads remain open, though mountain routes are restricted. The Amberd–Lake Kari road is closed, and Vardenyats Pass is difficult for all vehicles to pass.

Authorities in Georgia and Russia confirm the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway, Armenia’s main link to Russia, is closed to all traffic.

Drivers are urged to use winter tyres.
