Family of fallen Armenian soldier welcomes baby boy

A child has been born into the family of an Armenian soldier killed during the 2020 Artsakh war.

Anna Mkrtchyan, the mother of fallen serviceman Haykaz Mkrtchyan, announced the birth of her son Emil on Sunday.

"My little Emil has arrived and I pray that God will guide and protect you through every step of your journey. My heart overflows with love, yet it aches with longing. I can only imagine how much your brother Haykaz would have cherished you. My greatest wish is that you grow strong and live a long life in a peaceful country, my precious miracle," she said.
