Azerbaijan to send fuel shipment to Armenia today

Azerbaijan will dispatch 22 rail wagons loaded with diesel fuel to Armenia today, Azerbaijani media reports suggest.

In addition, four wagons of Russian fertiliser will be delivered to Armenia via transit through Azerbaijan.

The move will follow a decision announced in October 2025 by President Ilham Aliyev to lift restrictions on the transit of goods through Azerbaijani territory bound for Armenia. Direct fuel supplies from Azerbaijan to Armenia began on 18 December 2025.
