Two injured in single-vehicle crash in Armenian town

A Jeep plunged nearly 70 meters into a ravine in Kapan, a town in southeast Armenia, on Tuesday, leaving two people injured, authorities said.

The Interior Ministry reported that the vehicle veered off the road connecting Garegin Nzhdeh Street to the Shinararner district at around 1:04 a.m. and tumbled into the ravine.

Rescue crews from the Syunik regional fire and rescue service, assisted by police and local residents, carried the victims out on stretchers and transferred them to an ambulance. Both were hospitalized, the ministry said.
