The Armenian Anti-Corruption Committee has detained 14 people on charges of bribery, alleging both the giving and receiving of illicit payments. The arrests were confirmed to Panorama.am by committee officials, who declined to provide further details, stating only that “additional information will be provided if necessary.”
The detainees include members and supporters of Strong Armenia, an opposition party that has announced plans to contest the upcoming parliamentary elections.
