Armenian parliament speaker briefly meets Azeri counterpart in Istanbul

On a working visit to Istanbul, Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan, heading the Armenian parliamentary delegation, is participating in the plenary session of the 152nd Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly.

The Armenian parliament reported on Thursday that within the framework of the IPU Assembly, Simonyan held brief exchanges with several counterparts, including Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, and Valentina Matviyenko, Chair of the Federation Council of Russia.
