Pashinyan says reunited with his spouse

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has confirmed that he and his spouse, Anna Hakobyan, have reconciled following a period of separation, describing the development as “another chance” to preserve their family.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Pashinyan said that “real life is much more complex than theatrer”, suggesting that personal relationships cannot always be understood in simple terms. He added that those who have not yet realized this “will come to understand it later in life.”

Pashinyan noted that when Hakobyan previously announced her decision to leave, he had responded with respect for her choice. However, he emphasized that he had not accepted the situation emotionally and had made efforts toward reconciliation.

“I did not say that I was at peace with that decision,” he said. “Naturally, I made efforts so that this development could take place. I am glad that it has happened and I am glad that I have another chance to preserve our family.”

At the time of the initial separation, Pashinyan had also publicly apologized to his wife.
