Narek Karapetyan: 'What would the prime minister say if he couldn't lie?'
Armenia marks Citizen’s Day on 25 April.
Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the Strong Armenia party, took to Facebook to cast a critical tone over the observance.
"Today is the day of deceived citizens,” he wrote.
Drawing on a cinematic analogy, Karapetyan recalled a film in which the protagonist is punished by being rendered incapable of telling lies. He asked followers to imagine a similar scenario unfolding in Armenia.
“Imagine that during today’s event, the Armenian prime minister takes the stage, and at that very moment a miracle occurs—he can no longer deceive,” Karapetyan said. “What would he say to the people?”
