Six Armenian political parties, all members of European political families, have jointly addressed a letter to EU leadership, participants of the upcoming European Political Community summit in Yerevan and the heads of their respective political groups. In the letter, they raise concerns about ongoing anti-democratic developments in Armenia, as well as the plight of Armenian prisoners held in Azerbaijan and the issues facing Artsakh Armenians.
The signatories include the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the Heritage Party, both members of the European People’s Party; the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF), aligned with the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats; Prosperous Armenia Party, part of the European Conservatives and Reformists; the Armenian National Congress (ANC), affiliated with the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe; and the Democratic Party of Artsakh, a member of the European Free Alliance.
Today, representatives of the political forces formally delivered the letter to the EU Delegation office in Yerevan.
