Wildberries holds talks with Armenian sellers amid Russian customs changes

Wildberries has announced that it is in active dialogue with Armenian vendors following recent regulatory adjustments in Russia. The company confirmed that it convened a meeting with more than 50 Armenian entrepreneurs to address concerns arising from new customs procedures introduced on 20 April.

Under the revised framework, sellers are required to submit additional documentation for certain categories of goods entering Russia. Wildberries emphasized that products already stored in Russian warehouses continue to be sold without disruption, while Armenian merchants retain access to their domestic market.

The company stated it is working closely with partners and relevant authorities to ensure compliance and to mitigate uncertainty. “All issues are being considered in due course with the participation of the appropriate parties. Wildberries anticipates a phased resolution and will provide updates as developments occur,” it said.

The announcement follows complaints from individual entrepreneurs, including Shushan Mkrtchyan, who reported that sales from Armenia were abruptly suspended without explanation. She added that rival marketplace Ozon had also halted transactions involving Armenian companies, leaving many sellers in a state of uncertainty.
