Young Armenian lifter Narek Mkrtchyan wins world silver

Members of Armenia’s youth weightlifting team continue their performances at the World Championships.

At the competition currently taking place in Egypt, Armenia’s Narek Mkrtchyan lifted 145kg and 150kg in the snatch. In the clean and jerk, he managed 182kg and 186kg, finishing third in the discipline on Tuesday.

With a combined total of 336kg, Narek Mkrtchyan became the silver medallist of the Youth World Championships.
