Wings of Unity party launches campaign in Tavush ahead of June 7 elections

The Wings of Unity party began campaigning for the June parliamentary elections in Tavush Province on Friday, starting at Goshavank Monastery and the town of Ijevan.

Party member Davit Ananyan said the choice of Goshavank was symbolic, linking the campaign’s start to medieval thinker Mkhitar Gosh, a key figure in Armenian legal and political thought.

“This is not just a geographic choice. It is an ideological start,” Ananyan said, emphasizing that the party’s platform centers on statehood and governance rooted in national values.

The Wings of Unity was founded by professionals with backgrounds in public service and administration. Ananyan described the movement as one that views the state “not as a temporary political platform, but as the highest form of organizing national existence.”

Armenia is scheduled to hold parliamentary elections on June 7.
