Armenian village head accused of assaulting resident

A local administrative head in Shenavan, a village in Armenia’s Lori Province, assaulted a resident during a late-night dispute, Shamshyan.com reported on Monday, citing police.

34-year-old Gor A. was reportedly hospitalized with a fractured jaw and other injuries following the incident. Investigators determined that on May 2, at around 11:30 p.m., 35-year-old Mkhitar M. struck the victim multiple times in the face and body during an argument near a gas station in Spitak.

Police forwarded the case to the Investigative Committee’s Spitak division for further probe.
