Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission (CEC) on Wednesday reiterated a ban on the use of administrative resources during election campaigning, urging strict compliance with electoral rules.
The CEC said administrative resources include human, financial and material assets controlled by public officials through their positions in state institutions.
It stressed that during the pre-election period, the involvement of employees from public service bodies, healthcare institutions, educational facilities and pre-school institutions in campaigning is prohibited when they are acting in an official capacity or performing their duties.
The commission called on all political forces to conduct campaigning in line with Armenia’s Electoral Code.
