Armenian businessman and philanthropist Samvel Karapetyan, who leads the opposition Strong Armenia party, has dismissed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s claims that he is a spy.
“This man makes different statements under different doses. If I am a spy, I am a spy for the Armenian people," Karapetyan said on Tuesday.
He accused Pashinyan of attempting to undermine him because of his party’s criticism of government policies. Karapetyan argued that Pashinyan’s administration had driven the country “to the edge of an abyss” and insisted that his movement was exposing unlawful decisions and mismanagement.
