Kocharyan blasts Pashinyan during campaign rally

Former Armenian President Robert Kocharyan, who is running as the prime ministerial candidate of the opposition Hayastan alliance, launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a campaign stop in Akhuryan on Tuesday.

Kocharyan told supporters that Pashinyan’s demeanor reflected “obvious signs of mental disorder,” contrasting what he described as the qualities of a balanced, hardworking family man with those of a “hysterical, quarrelsome, lying drunkard” who frequently changes his opinions.

“Consider our country as one big family,” Kocharyan said. “The fate of that family depends greatly on its head — whether the country will be calm or not, whether there will be war or peace.”
