Strong Armenia party pledges monthly support for soldiers' families

The opposition Strong Armenia party has pledged financial support for families of conscripted soldiers, as the country heads towards parliamentary elections on June 7.

Narek Karapetyan, a board member of the party, announced that under their program, families of men serving compulsory military duty would receive a monthly payment of 40,000 drams. The stipend would be provided for the full 18 months of mandatory service.
