Tense exchange erupts during Pashinyan's campaign stop in Masis

A brief but tense confrontation broke out during Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s campaign stop in the town of Masis on Thursday, after members of his Civil Contract party approached a vehicle attempting to pass through the area.

Video of the incident shows a woman inside the car objecting after government members accompanying the prime minister opened the door of the vehicle while speaking with her.

“Close the door. Who are you to tell me how I should continue on my way?” the woman said during the exchange.

The woman and her husband, who were inside the vehicle, said they were in a hurry but declined to explain where they were headed.

As tensions escalated, one Civil Contract activist was heard angrily telling the woman, “You’re about to run a person over. To hell with you.”

The woman responded sharply: “Look at this brat. Close the door.”
