Gagik Tsarukyan extends birthday greetings to Ruben Vardanyan

Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan has issued a public message marking the birthday of Ruben Vardanyan, who is unlawfully imprisoned in Azerbaijan.

In a statement shared on Facebook, Tsarukyan described Vardanyan as a figure of “strength, dignity and patriotism,” praising his resilience despite imprisonment. “You have remained steadfast even in captivity and your will inspires hope and faith in thousands of people,” he wrote.

Tsarukyan extended wishes for Vardanyan’s health and “swift release from Azerbaijani captivity,” adding: “May justice prevail and may you soon return to your family, friends and the Armenian people.”

Tsarukyan also linked Vardanyan’s fate to Armenia’s upcoming parliamentary elections on 7 June, expressing confidence that “the results will also open the door of your prison cell and secure your release.”
