Narek Karapetyan, a senior member of the Strong Armenia party, urged Armenians to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections, telling supporters that staying home on election day would benefit Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his Civil Contract party.
Addressing a large rally in Vanadzor, the capital of Armenia’s Lori Province, on Tuesday evening, Karapetyan called on all voters to cast their ballots in the June 7 elections.
“Everyone should go to the polling station and make their choice,” Karapetyan said. “Whoever does not go to the polling station gives their vote to Nikol. If you do not vote, your vote goes to Nikol.”
