Low turnout marks Pashinyan campaign stop in Dilijan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s campaign stop in the northern resort town of Dilijan drew a sparse crowd on Friday, underscoring challenges for his Civil Contract party as Armenia heads toward parliamentary elections on June 7.

Local journalist Voskan Sargsyan reported that only about 60 to 70 residents attended the meeting, most of them municipal employees, school directors, kindergarten staff, and a handful of pensioners supportive of Pashinyan. Dilijan, a town of roughly 16,000 people, appeared largely disengaged from the event.
