Tatoyan vows daily support for families of fallen soldiers

Arman Tatoyan, the prime ministerial candidate of the Wings of Unity party, on Saturday pledged to honor the sacrifice of Armenia’s fallen soldiers by committing to respect, justice, and care for their families as the country heads toward parliamentary elections on June 7.

Speaking to relatives of servicemen killed in action, Tatoyan said their loved ones’ sacrifice was “sacred” and that the state must prove worthy of it every day. “I have searched for their bodies with you on the battlefield. I have seen your tears, your suffering, but I have also seen your pride for the heroes,” he said.

Tatoyan outlined three promises: respect — ensuring no family member of a fallen soldier is insulted or demeaned; justice — demanding accountability for decisions that cost lives; and care — pledging that the state will stand by families daily, not only on memorial occasions.

He added that the memory of Armenia’s fallen heroes “will never be a subject of political bargaining or a tool,” but will remain a symbol of national dignity.
